Refund Policy

We aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly. This policy explains when rework, replacement, credit, or refund may apply for Six Watts Ltd engineering and manufacturing services.

Effective date: 5 March 2026

1. Policy Coverage

This policy applies to engineering, CAD, additive manufacturing, scanning, and laser marking services delivered by Six Watts Ltd, unless superseded by a specific written contract or framework agreement.

2. Notification Timeframe

Please notify us within 30 days of delivery if you believe a part does not meet the approved specification. For transit damage, notify us within 48 hours of receipt and keep all packaging for carrier review.

3. Information Required for Review

To assess efficiently, please provide:

  • Order or quote reference
  • Clear photos and issue description
  • Measured dimensions where relevant
  • Details of the expected specification
  • Any supporting test or fitment data

4. Assessment Method

Claims are reviewed against the approved order specification, agreed tolerances, and normal process characteristics of the selected manufacturing method. We may request return of affected parts for inspection before determining a remedy.

5. Available Remedies

Where a claim is accepted, Six Watts Ltd may provide one or more of the following:

  • Rework or replacement of affected parts
  • Service credit toward a future order
  • Partial refund for affected items or services
  • Full refund for the affected scope where no practical corrective action is possible

6. Exclusions

Refunds are generally not available where issues arise from:

  • Approved customer design errors, missing details, or incorrect units
  • Normal additive manufacturing texture, layer lines, and minor cosmetic variation
  • Inherent process limits where parts remain within agreed tolerances
  • Post-delivery machining, modification, misuse, or unsuitable operating conditions
  • Changes requested after production has started
  • Customer delays in responding to approval or clarification requests

7. Returns and Collections

If return is required, we will issue return instructions. Please do not return parts without written authorization. Returned items must be packaged securely to avoid transit damage.

8. Cancellation and Work-in-Progress

As orders are custom-manufactured, cancellation rights are limited once production has started. Where cancellation is accepted, charges may apply for completed work, allocated material, and committed subcontract or logistics costs.

9. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed in writing. Processing typically takes 5 to 10 working days after approval, subject to bank and payment provider timelines.

10. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a card chargeback. We aim to resolve disputes quickly through direct technical review and corrective action where appropriate.
