Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply to all quotations, orders, and services supplied by Six Watts Ltd, including engineering support, CAD, 3D printing, 3D scanning, and laser marking.

Effective date: 5 March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By requesting a quote, placing an order, or using our website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.

2. Scope of Services

Six Watts Ltd provides additive manufacturing and engineering services for business and project customers. The deliverables for each job are defined by your accepted quote, approved files, and any agreed written scope.

3. Quotes, Pricing, and Validity

Quotes are issued based on the information available at the time of pricing. Unless otherwise stated, quotes are valid for 30 days. Pricing may be updated where scope, quantity, material, geometry, lead time, or finishing requirements change.

All prices are in GBP and are exclusive of VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise.

4. Orders and Payment

Orders are confirmed once we receive written acceptance and any required purchase order and payment details. For new customers and one-off jobs, payment may be required in full before production starts. Account terms, where approved, must be observed in line with the agreed invoice terms.

5. File Submission and Manufacturability

You are responsible for ensuring submitted files, drawings, units, and technical requirements are correct and complete. We manufacture to your approved data unless a written engineering change is agreed.

We may identify manufacturability risks and recommend changes, but final design responsibility remains with you unless we are separately engaged under a defined design authority scope.

6. Design Responsibility and End Use

You are responsible for part suitability, fit, function, regulatory compliance, and end-use performance. Unless expressly agreed in writing, Six Watts Ltd does not provide design certification or safety validation for critical applications.

  • Do not use printed parts in safety-critical systems without full engineering validation
  • Material data and process guidance are informational and not a fitness-for-purpose warranty
  • Prototype outcomes should be validated in their operating environment before deployment

7. Process Characteristics and Tolerances

Additive manufacturing includes process variability, including layer lines, witness marks, support interaction, and minor dimensional variation. We work to the quoted process and agreed tolerance expectations for the service selected.

Parts within agreed tolerance bands are deemed conforming even where cosmetic differences are present. Additional finishing requirements must be stated and accepted in writing before production.

8. Lead Times, Shipping, and Delivery

Lead times are estimates unless specifically agreed as fixed delivery milestones in writing. Delays can occur due to file revisions, machine availability, quality hold points, courier issues, or force majeure.

  • Please verify delivery addresses before dispatch
  • Risk in transit transfers in line with agreed Incoterms or shipment method
  • Shipping dates are targets, not guaranteed deadlines, unless explicitly contracted

9. Changes and Cancellations

Change requests after order confirmation may impact cost and lead time and may require re-quotation. Orders cannot be cancelled once production has started, except at our discretion.

If cancellation is accepted after work has started, charges may apply for completed work, allocated materials, machine time, and committed subcontract or logistics costs.

10. Restricted and Prohibited Content

We may refuse any order that is unlawful, unsafe, infringes third-party rights, or conflicts with our internal policies. This includes, without limitation, prohibited weapon components and illegal products.

11. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your files and project IP. By submitting files, you grant Six Watts Ltd a limited licence to use, process, and store those files solely to quote, manufacture, inspect, and support your order.

You confirm that you hold all necessary rights and permissions for any data or designs you provide.

12. Confidentiality

We treat customer information and files as confidential and use appropriate operational controls to protect them. Where required, we can work under a mutually executed NDA.

We will not publicly identify your project or share files except as needed for delivery of services or as required by law.

13. Quality, Defects, and Remedies

Please inspect parts promptly on delivery. If you believe there is a defect or specification mismatch, notify us with supporting evidence within the timeframe stated in our Refund Policy.

Where a valid issue is confirmed, our remedies may include rework, replacement, service credit, or refund for the affected scope.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Six Watts Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business interruption, or reputational damage.

Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount paid for that order. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

15. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including power disruption, equipment failure, cyber incidents, industrial action, transport disruption, or extreme weather events.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
